Brundage Group is pleased to announce that Cheryl Ericson, MS, RN, CCDS, CDIP, has joined our team as Director of CDI, Case Management and Utilization Management. Described as a “visionary” by ACDIS director Brian Murphy, Cheryl is a CDI expert with over 25 years of revenue cycle experience and is recognized as an international CDI subject matter expert.
As Director of CDI, CM and UM at Brundage Group, Cheryl will support clients through on-site and remote education, create content for our clinical team to deliver first-class education and help develop our learning management system.

About Cheryl Ericson, MS, RN, CCDS, CDIP
Cheryl has helped to establish industry guidance through contributions to white papers and practice briefs for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement (ACDIS) in the areas of CDI, denials management, quality, technology and querying. She served as the CDI Education Director for HCPro and Associate Director of Education for ACDIS.
Cheryl is well versed in HIM technologies with experience implementing CDI and coding tools in a variety of EMR environments. Prior to working with ACDIS, Ericson managed CDI, Core Measures Abstraction and Utilization Review departments at a large academic medical center.
Cheryl is a current member of the AHIMA CDI Practice Council, ACDIS CCDS Credentialing Committee and ACDIS Regulatory Committee. She is a past member of the ACDIS Advisory Board.
