- PaO2/FiO2 < 400 is one SOFA point.
- PaO2/FiO2 < 300 is two SOFA points and will support Severe Sepsis.
- PaO2/FiO2 < 300 also supports the hypoxia for the diagnosis of Acute Hypoxic Respiratory Failure.
