Hassan Rao^{MD, CPC, CCS, ACPA-C}

Dr. Hassan Rao is the Associate Chief Medical Officer and VP of the DRG Integrity Service Line at Brundage Group. He leads Brundage’s DRG validation efforts and helps hospitals safeguard revenue through accurate clinical documentation and coding. His expertise includes risk adjustment and hospital quality measures, denials management, revenue cycle analytics, and provider education. 

Before joining Brundage Group, Dr. Rao practiced as a hospitalist, physician advisor and Assistant Professor at an academic medical center. He continues to maintain practice as a hospitalist. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree through the accelerated six-year BA/MD program at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine.
