IT Support Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced IT Support Engineer with extensive knowledge of Azure and Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing switches, access points (APs), and network infrastructure. This role also requires excellent writing and communication skills to conduct and document monthly audit reviews of equipment, users, and applications. Additionally, the IT Support Engineer will be responsible for onboarding new employees, ensuring they have the necessary IT resources and support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and other network devices.
  • Perform regular network monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct monthly audit reviews of IT equipment, user access, and application usage.
  • Document and report findings from audits and propose recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and deployment of hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve technical issues and implement new technologies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of IT assets and user accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal users and stakeholders.
  • Handle onboarding of new employees, including setting up workstations, accounts, and providing initial IT training and support.
  • Develop and maintain onboarding documentation and processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience managing switches, access points, and general network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and individuals.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
  • Experience with network security and firewall management preferred.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management tools and software preferred.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell) preferred.
  • Experience in a similar role within a mid-sized to large organization preferred.
