Angel Lathrop

Angel Lathrop serves as the vice president of operations at Brundage Group, bringing extensive expertise in front-end and mid-revenue cycle operations. Her professional experience spans various critical areas, including denials management, notification of admissions, concurrent denials, and managing the Medicare inpatient-only list. 

Prior to her role at Brundage Group, Angel held significant positions at Parallon. As the Patient Access Director at Parallon Largo Medical Center, she oversaw denials management for both inpatient and outpatient services, including securing prior authorizations for surgical units. In her capacity as Manager of the Parallon Central Insurance Verification Unit, she implemented comprehensive action plans for denials management, focusing on clinical validation, DRG, and medical necessity. 

Angel’s collaborative approach has seen her work closely with case management on patient status assignments and concurrent denials, as well as with the quality department to enhance quality and mortality metrics. 

Angel holds an MBA from the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, Florida. She also completed the Parallon Business Performance Group Leadership Development Program. Additionally, she is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
