Sales Development Representative

The primary responsibility of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to generate high-quality leads and set up sales calls for our Business Development team. This is a critical role that helps us expand our reach and drive revenue growth while maintaining cost-effectiveness. The job duties include sourcing and calling into new hospitals and health system targets, as directed by Business Development, and acquiring meetings for Business Development to qualify and bring through the sales process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients within the healthcare industry, particularly hospitals and healthcare systems. Utilize various channels such as online research, cold calling, and email outreach to generate leads.
  • Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our sales executives spend their time pursuing the right opportunities.
  • Outbound Outreach: Engage prospects through effective communication via phone calls, emails, and other relevant channels. Craft compelling messaging to capture their attention quickly.
  • Meeting Scheduling: Schedule appointments and sales calls for our Business Development team. Coordinate with them to ensure seamless handoffs and provide all necessary information.
  • Training and Development: Continuously improve your skills and knowledge in prospecting and lead qualification. Take advantage of our short ramp-up period to start setting meetings within 1-2 months.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Outlook email, calendar and case management systems
  • Computer Skills: demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others (CN) as required (O365, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Salesforce knowledge is preferred, however, not necessary.
  • Strong communication skills. Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. This includes utilizing proper punctuation, correct spelling and the ability to transcribe accurately.
  • Proven experience in sales, lead generation, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Client orientation: establishes and maintains long-term client relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Policies & Procedures: demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems
  • Interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with employees and clients (internal/external)
  • Basic skills: demonstrates ability to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately in short timeframes, has ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple demands, ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player, adaptability, analytical and problem solving ability and attention to detail and able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.
  • Ability to work independently, needing minimal supervision.
